Meet the hearts behind the healing
Just as every person’s path to wellness is unique, so is each member of our team. Together, we blend creativity, professionalism, and compassion to offer an experience that is truly artfully balanced.

Cyndi Taylor - Owner & Instructor
Cyndi began practicing yoga, tai chi, and mindfulness in 2009 while working on her master’s degree in education. In April 2023, she became a certified tai chi instructor through the Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI) and started Artfully Balanced later that year. She has a professional teaching license in the state of Utah and has worked as both a General and Special Education teacher in local school districts where she has incorporated mindfulness into her classrooms to help improve student focus and behavior. She loves to teach adults and kids of all ages.

Shelly Oda - Tai Chi Instructor
Shelly’s career as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, working with people in physical rehabilitation and behavioral health led her to search for options to improve their mental AND physical health. She joined an online tai chi course to gather information for her clients and discovered tai chi was easy for people to do alone or in a community setting and satisfied the five domains of healthy living (physical, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental health). This led her to enroll in a formal training course with the Tai Chi for Health Institute and become a certified instructor. Since starting her journey, she has noticed improvement in those five domains in her own life. Shelly hopes to help others to find their own health benefits in tai chi. Shelly is also enthusiastic in participating in pickle ball, crafting, Mahjong, and spending time talking with friends (and anyone else who’d like to join her in a conversation)!
